This game is fun even if you’re not sitting around the campfire roasting marshmallows.

You need several people to play, and 2 of them need to know how to play ahead of time.  Everyone else is going to have to figure it out!  Start off in a circle with the 2 that know how to play. 

The first person says “I am going on a camping trip and I’m going to bring a long a BALL, can I come?”
The 2nd person says “Yes, you can come. I am going on a camping trip and I’m going to bring a LIGHTBULB, can I come?” [The answer to the pattern is that the next item has to start with the last letter of the item before it.  In this case it was the letter L.  The next item will start with a B.]
It’s funny to watch people try to figure out what they need to bring to come on the camping trip.  Throw in some outrageous items that would never be part of a camping trip and watch them really struggle

You can also use different patterns like: 
2 items that have to start with each person’s first and last initials, or double letters in the word such as DEER or BATHROOM.
